(Note: the statement attributed to Dr. Springer in the KCBS interview that we think airway irritation is responsible for the cardiac effects is not what he said. In answer to a question about why the different products had similar effects on the heart, he had shown airway irritation is apparently responsible for the effects on blood vessels, and perhaps it was the same for cardiac effects but we did not know.)
